Vegan Bang Bang Cauliflower
This vegan twist on Gordon Ramsays bang bang cauliflower recipe is crispy, spicy, and sweet. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish for any occasion
Ingredients:
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 425F 220C
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a bowl, whisk together flour, almond milk, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to make the batter
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, coating evenly, then roll in breadcrumbs
Place coated cauliflower on the prepared baking sheet
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy
In a small bowl, mix together hot sauce and maple syrup to make the bang bang sauce
In another bowl, combine vegan mayonnaise and sriracha sauce to make the spicy mayo
Once cauliflower is cooked, transfer to a large bowl
Pour the bang bang sauce over the cauliflower and toss to coat
Drizzle with spicy mayo and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds
Serve hot and enjoy
