Mac & Cheese Burgers with Guacamole & Grilled Onions

A delicious twist on classic burgers, these Mac & Cheese Burgers are packed with flavor and topped with creamy guacamole and grilled onions.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked macaroni noodles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions:

In a bowl, mix together ground beef, cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined

Form the mixture into 4 burger patties

Preheat grill to medium-high heat

Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness

While burgers are grilling, mash the avocado in a bowl and mix in lime juice, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro to make guacamole

In a separate grill pan or skillet, grill the sliced red onion until softened and slightly charred

Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two until lightly toasted

To assemble the burgers, place a grilled burger patty on the bottom half of each bun

Top each patty with a generous spoonful of guacamole and grilled onions

Cover with the top half of the bun and serve hot
