Hot Dog Burger with Zucchini Fridge Pickles
Ingredients:
- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 hot dogs
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of zucchini fridge pickles
- 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup of ketchup
- 1/4 cup of yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup of diced onions
- 1/4 cup of diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of shredded lettuce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat
Place the hot dogs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are heated through and have grill marks
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each hot dog and allow it to melt
While the hot dogs are cooking, split the hot dog buns and lightly toast them on the grill
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and yellow mustard to create the burger sauce
Assemble the hot dog burgers by placing a hot dog with melted cheese inside each toasted bun
Top each hot dog burger with diced onions, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and a generous spoonful of the burger sauce
Season with salt and pepper to taste
